In order to raise awareness of people with disabilities, their ability to participate in the labor market and be equal members of society, Kurzeme planning region organizes meetings with entrepreneurs within the framework of the project “I can work”.
The first meeting with local entrepreneurs has already taken place in Skrunda. Representatives of Kurzeme planning region together with Skrunda municipality and its representatives – Mayor Loretta Robežniece and Director of Skrunda Municipality Agency “Social Service” Anda Vītola informed entrepreneurs about the possibilities of employing people with disabilities. The discussions were also attended by persons in the target group who informed employers about their work experience, education, skills and needs.
We thank the entrepreneurs of Skunda side – SIA “Cepliņi”, JSC “Skrundas muiža”, SIA “A Little Romance” – for their responsiveness! Within the framework of the project, we will continue to visit and inform entrepreneurs of Kurzeme region about the inclusion of people with disabilities in the labor market.
