When new companies enter the market, an original product or the slogan “Made in Latvia” is no longer enough. To sell anything, you need knowledge and the ability to apply it properly. The advantage of today’s business is the ability to manage digital tools that make business processes more efficient. For example, in production (optimizing or streamlining production), communication (addressing / attracting industry exhibition stands), etc. At a time when most companies are learning digital technologies relatively slowly, the winners are always those who have already mastered and used them. These solutions help compete with even larger companies in the same industry. And it’s no secret that export markets often demand much more from a company than domestic markets.
On June 8, more than 30 people took part in a webinar on the possibilities of digital technologies for business development. The webinar was organized by the Kurzeme Planning Region in cooperation with the LIAA Kuldiga Business Incubator project no. LV-LOCALDEV-0004 “Business support measures in the Kurzeme planning region” to look at the opportunities provided by digital technologies that can significantly help the development of the company. And whether the company is new or has several years of experience in the market, the opportunity to integrate digital solutions into the company is always and for everyone.
During the webinar, Aiga Irmeja, a representative of the Latvian Digital Innovation Center, informed about the grant support program and other support opportunities for digitization for companies. Next, Aleksandrs Ļubinskis from Cēsis Digital Center explained in a very attractive story what digital transformation really is and how everyone can adapt it to their needs. And at the end of the webinar, Toms Girvaitis, a representative of the Kuldiga Digital Innovation Center, spoke about the possibilities of cooperation.
The participants of the webinar welcomed the information obtained and expressed their wish to re-participate in such seminars, which, in addition to theory, provide practical examples of how to adapt the benefits of digitization to their needs.
The event was organized within the project LV-LOCALDEV-0004 “Entrepreneurship support measures in Kurzeme planning region”.
