On the 25th of November in cooperation with LIAA Kuldīgas business incubator within the framework of the project No. LV-LOCALDEV-0004 “Entrepreneurship support measures in the Kurzeme planning region” we organized a business forum on the topic – Investors. Investments.
The purpose of the event was to highlight another “bogey” of business development – investors and investments, showing that there is no need to be afraid of this, as of any stage of the company’s development. It is one of the possibilities with the help of which you can develop your business more smoothly.
LIAA representatives introduced the visitors to investment attraction and start-up investments. CrowdedHero told about the platform where successful investors and rapidly growing companies meet each other and LatBAN – Latvian Business Angel Network – introduced the Latvian angel network and angel investments. At the end of the event, we invited representatives of three dynamic brands to share their experience in investor and investment matters – packaging manufacturer FoldedBox, developer of solutions for improving the effectiveness of advertising campaigns Roibox and OX Drive – Tesla’s shared service. The nearly two-hour long panel discussion opened up the topic of the event from the entrepreneur’s side, allowing a glimpse into his everyday life. When it comes to attracting investment, there is no shortage of challenges. From realizing the potential of your product, making important decisions, to persistently searching for investors until you find them. Among them, not to take failures personally, but to see them as answers to questions – what else can be done, so that attracting an investor will be more successful next time. All entrepreneurs agree that a strong team, which with the necessary investments is able to take the company to the next level, is the most important success factor in attracting investments.
The event was organized within the framework of the project no. LV-LOCALDEV-0004 “Entrepreneurship support measures in the Kurzeme Planning Region” (“Entrepreneurship in Kurzeme”). The project is co-financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, through EEA grants in the Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Cultural Cooperation program.
