During the meeting lead partner introduced all partners to each other, indicated the main project outputs, time schedules, partner responsibilities, communication guidelines. Each project partner presented its planned project results and the activities that are planned to be implemented in the first six months were discussed.
During the timeframe till October 2017 it is planned that activities from four work packages are to be implemented. In management work package there are one work group meeting planned; in the implementation work package first experience exchange trip is planned with networking activities; specialists’ trainings; informative events for raising society awareness about the visually impaired persons; and purchasing equipment in partners’ organisations for improving social services.
In this reporting period it is planned to organise project opening event in Klaipeda where wider public will be introduced to the project planned activities and main outputs. More detailed information about the planned event will be published in mass media and in project partners’ websites.
In the upcoming periods it is also planned that a short film will be filmed about this project’s addressed issues to raise society awareness and to promote equal attitude towards persons with disabilities and to improve social inclusion of persons with visual impairments.
Project implementation is funded by European Regional development fund. Project duration May 1st 2017 to April 30th 2019. Project total budget 493 044.31 EUR, incl. 419 087, 65 EUR ERDF financing.).
