CB786 “Nature Access to All (NatAc)”
On 12 August the first out of three Accessibility Days’ events for families foreseen in the poject took place in Latvia, at Kalēti Forest Park.
Accessibility Days in Latvia, Estionia and Finland are organised to give a chance for disabled families to meet and spend time together, while hiking, seeing new trails, learning about nature through various senses and simply spending an exciting day in nature.
In Kalēti Forest Park, the families hiked 3 thematic park trails (stingray, msuhroom and animal), had fun getting to know with the stuff of the chests of senses and guessing which egg, fur or footprint belongs to which animal. We also played differet games, grilled sausages and marshmallows on a bonfire and each one put a hand in creating the new park inhabitant – an imaginary stingray.
Acessibility Days in Estonia are taking place in Parnu on 14.08.21. and in Finland – on 28.08.21. at Kurjenrahka National Park.
Accessibility Days are organised with support of the Central Baltic Programme 2014-2020 as part of the project CB786 “Nature Access to All” (NatAc).
