LLI-447 “Explore Balts”
On 22 March as part of the “Explore Balts” project, Kurzeme Planning Region organised a conference on cultural routes. Lecturers from Latvia and Lithuania spoke about the planning and development of cultural routes, best practice examples and challenges which the route developers are facing. Project Leader of the “Explore Balts” Leading Partner Rūta Stankuviene presented the achievement of project partners in creating and promoting the “Balts’ Road” Route, Chairman of the Kurzeme Tourism Association Artis Gustovskis presented the European Cultural Route “The Hansa”, representative of the Latvian St. Jacob’s Road Association introduced participants with routing and marking process of the Camino Road sections in Latvia and two Lithuanian representaives presented the national cultural Route “M.K. Čiurlionis Road” and the local cultural route “Weathervane Road”.
