P003 “Integrating Regenerative Practices in Nature and Cultural Tourism” (RegenT)

On 28 January 2026 the RegenT project platform organised a webinar “From Amibiton to Action” for its 24 associated project organisations:

During the webinar, the project partners presented the RegenT project and the six foundations of regenerative tourism, and organised five breakout rooms in which participants discussed the importance of place (as the basis of regenerative tourism), their vision for the place, and what can help to achieve this vision, including support from the RegenT platform. Seminars and educational materials explaining what regenerative tourism is, as well as examples of good practice – simple and practical stories from small family businesses about implementing regenerative practices in business operations and everyday life – were identified as the most important types of support to be provided by the project.

More about the project

Tourism in the Baltic Sea Region is increasingly affected by climate change and must move beyond sustainability towards actively restoring natural and cultural assets. RegenT supports this transition by providing public authorities with practical knowledge and tools for developing regenerative tourism.

Building on seven Interreg projects, RegenT offers a platform for learning, exchange, and networking, promoting systemic change and contributing to resilient economies and communities across the region.

Project activities are being implemented with the support of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme 2021-2027.
