LL-00231 “Development of the PANORAMA ROUTE” (PANORAMA)

On 17 July 2026, the 3rd, final, Panorama Route Development Workshop took place at Lejaskroķi Farm in Abava Valley. This time the workshop was especially sweet – surrounded by the company of rabbits, chickens, goats and geese, representatives of tourism information centers, guides and entrepreneurs came together to hear about the route, to learn about how to involve locals in hosting of tourist groups and learn about landscape planning and preservation.

During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to hear from experts in different fields and learn from practical examples about tourism route development, landscape values and preservation, as well as the role of local communities in tourism development.

  • Liene Lote Čemme from the tour operator Travel Biiz shared her experience in working with groups, creating routes, working with guides, entrepreneurs, creating cooperation chains and the role of the local community in attracting tourists,
  • Dace Laiva from “Skaisto dārzu darbnīca” talked about landscapes – what we understand by traditional landscape, its values and landscape preservation,
  • hostess Maija showed her farmstead, told about family farming, treated participants with home-baked bread and delicious soup in the scenic Amula River setting.

We also obtained beautiful views of the ancient Abava Valley and ammended our route with new sites! The route map is available here: https://ej.uz/ybrgf
